1、水基型灭火器
Water base type extinguisher
灭火器应当放置在阴凉、干燥、通风、并取用方便的部位。环境温度应为4℃～+55℃，冬季应注意防冻。

定期检查喷嘴是否堵塞，使之保持通畅。每半年检查灭火器是否有工作压力。对空气泡沫灭火器只需检查压力显示表，如表针指向红色区域即应及时进行修理。

每次更换灭火剂或者出厂已满三年的，及以后每隔二年应对灭火器进行水压强度试验，水压强度合格才能继续使用。

2、干粉灭火器
Dry powder fire extinguisher
干粉灭火器应放置在保护物体附近干燥通风和取用方便的地方。要注意防止受潮和日晒，灭火器各连接件不得松动，喷嘴塞盖不能脱落，保证密封性能。灭火器应按制造厂规定要求定期检查，如发现灭火剂结块或贮气量不足时，应更换灭火剂或补充气量。

灭火器一经开启必须进行再充装。再充装应由经过训练的专人按制造厂的规定要求和方法进行，不得随便更换灭火剂的品种和重量，充装后的灭火器，应进行气密性试验，不合格的不得使用。

3、二氧化碳灭火器

应放置明显、取用方便的地方，不可放在采暖或加热设备附近和阳光强烈照射的地方，存放温度应为-10℃～+55℃。

定期检查灭火器钢瓶内二氧化碳的存量，如果重量减少十分之一时，应及时补充罐装。

在搬运过程中，应轻拿轻放，防止撞击。在寒冷季节使用二氧化碳灭火器时，阀门(开关)开启后，不得时启时闭，以防阀门冻结。
